About the Author
Aubrey Michalofsky was born in Nelson, BC and graduated from Selkirk’s Law and Justice program in 2021. He was a fierce advocate for social justice and won awards in his program. He experienced the suffering and deaths of many of his friends and family members who used drugs, and he himself ultimately died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, a drug that is unregulated and currently illicit. In addition to his academic work, Aubrey was an intensely creative person, and he left behind written and graphic works that deserve to be shared. Most of these works approach social justice from an emotional perspective, and Aubrey would be honoured to have them published.
