Carving them to fit as close as atoms allow
awkwardly stepping forward
putting the surface together
Two separate puzzles, paper crinkles
Collage two people into daily life
Negotiate the musts and cuts to make it fit
Enjoy the easy bits colored with luck
A reflection of different elements
when combined
Will refract into something else
The ebbs and flows the curls and swirls
of our definitions
Co-write a new story
Create a new life
Co-opting a new home, live simply
At times butt heads
Would rather with no other

Juniper Coletti has been writing poetry since she could hold a pencil. She used this medium as her workshop to build the tools used to process emotions she had nowhere to place.
