About the Author
Avery Turner is a two-time Castlegar Sculpture Walk artist and local craftsman. His wood sculpture “ Cedar Sky Garden” was featured in the 2018 Castlegar Sculpture walk show and is still on display in downtown Castlegar. This poem was inspired by his neighbour who asked him upon first introduction, “Is it supposed to look like a moose?” The question cemented Avery’s artistic concept of building environmentally sustainable art that fully integrates with nature. If you’re out and about in downtown Castlegar, keep your eyes open for an abstract moose.
